More About Todd Cattle Company
Our Legacy of Excellence
For over four generations, Todd Cattle Company has stood as a symbol of faith, family, and farming tradition in the heart of Mount Vernon, Kentucky.
What began as one man’s dream to raise honest cattle on honest ground has grown into a legacy — a family committed to breeding superior Hereford cattle known for quality, temperament, and integrity.
The Founding Generation — Roy Todd
It all began with Roy Todd, a man of faith and hard work who believed that quality livestock started with quality values.
He built his small cattle operation on three cornerstones — honesty, diligence, and stewardship of the land.
From humble beginnings, Roy set the foundation for what would become a multi-generational family tradition rooted in Kentucky soil.
The Second Generation — Eddie Todd
Roy’s son, Eddie Todd, inherited not only his father’s work ethic but also his vision.
Eddie expanded the family farm and introduced the Hereford breed, recognizing their unmatched combination of strength, docility, and beef quality.
Through careful selection, refined genetics, and a deep respect for the craft, Eddie elevated Todd Cattle Company into a respected name in the Hereford community — known for producing cattle that perform both in the pasture and in the show ring.
The Third Generation — McKinzii, Ellen, and Bo Todd
Today, McKinzii, along with her husband Phillip, Ellen, and Bo Todd proudly carry forward the family’s legacy with the same passion and principle that built it.
They’ve each taken active roles in the farm’s growth — representing the heart of modern Kentucky agriculture while staying rooted in tradition.
As active members of the American Hereford Association, the Todd family has earned blue ribbons and champion titles across the nation, proving that true quality is bred through consistency, care, and community.
The Fourth Generation — Tripp
The next chapter belongs to Tripp, Eddie’s grandson and the fourth generation of Todd cattlemen.
Already a familiar face in the barns and pastures, Tripp is learning the values that built this family — faith, hard work, and respect for the land and livestock.
His involvement ensures that the Todd family name will continue to represent excellence for generations to come.
